The Redan Story

The Redan Football Club played two games in 1871 against the Ballarat Football Club, in 1872 it was formed as an official club but this was short lived as it disbanded in 1873, the club has disbanded a total of eight times.

 

The first Ballarat Football game was played at the Copenhagen Grounds on April 27, 1860 - the current Western Oval stands on part of the original site. 

 

The club has gone on to win 11 Senior Mens, 1 Senior Women's and 1 A Grade Netball title.
