Netball Coaching Outlook for Season 2020
I understand Redan is in a rebuilding phase, which to be quite honest, excites me!! As a club we are able to set standards and build a culture that is the envy of every other club.
I hope we band together across all grades including football as well! Success in not necessarily measured by premiership’s (not that I would say no to one), I believe this year is about laying the groundwork, coming together and enjoying ourselves. Who knows what we can achieve when we work as a team!!
It would be great to see our teams making finals and once again Redan being a powerhouse on the netball court!

We would like to congratulate all players on being selected into our 2020 playing squad. We hold much excitement for the list we have built across all grades this season. Our squad is in great hands, with our coaching team headed up by senior coaches Lisa James and Hayley Munro.
This year we hope to build on the great culture we have established over the past 12 months. We strive for success both on and off the court with the hope for finals appearances across many of our grades. We would like to wish all teams, netball and football, junior and senior, all the very best for the 2020 season.

Message from Garry Goyne, club president.
Hoping all our members and supporters are as well, mentally and physically, as can be expected in these times.
We, as a club, come from a wide variety of demographics and, as such, should to be aware of our fellow people’s safety and wellness.
A big thank you to all our members and non-members on the front line. Our Doctors, our Nurses, all those employed in our health sector, our supermarket employees, those providing support to the elderly and the not so well off. There are many others.
To our members who may have hit hard times we are here to assist. Don’t be afraid to ask, we are all in this together.
To our young people (those below 35) – you are not bullet proof and nor are your mates, siblings, partners, parents or grandparents. The highest incidence of contraction is within the 20-29 year age group!!! REMEMBER – you can have the virus and show no symptoms!!! If you don’t follow guidelines this could be you and you could pass it to your loved ones. See graph. Unfortunately it’s what we MUST do.
Follow guidelines set out by the government ie. Safe distance, personal hygiene and minimize physical contact.
All training activity has ceased. At this stage players should not be meeting at the change rooms and should follow the published isolation and hygiene guidelines.
Members nights at the Den on Friday nights are on hold until further notice. The Friends of the Den draws shall continue and your support through these difficult times are even more important. Not all our club costs fall to zero and there are still bills to pay.
To all, football and netball may be in cotton wool until this passes but, keep yourself fit, keep yourself involved (by phone or email) with your people, keep yourself motivated and keep yourself well. Don’t be a hoarder, don’t abuse workers doing their job, don’t get too close and don’t forget your fellow man.
Be safe and as I get further information, I will pass it on.
